Abstract

The following article is dedicated to studying and searching for the most optimal means of teenage socialization. The originality and novelty of the research are connected with developing the structure and criteria of the level of socialization of a personality and the choice of volunteering as the most optimal means of socialization of schoolchildren.

The authors present detailed results of diagnosing social adaptivity, social autonomy, and social activity of students included in control and experimental groups by the criterion of participation or non-participation in volunteering.

The empirical data proved the necessity of developing and implementing a system of activities aimed at raising the level of socialization of eighth-grade students by including them in various kinds of volunteering together with university students. The results of the forming experiment allowed the authors to conclude that the supposition of the positive influence of volunteering on teenagers’ socialization is correct.
