Abstract

The relevance of the article is due to the use of digital technologies for the benefit of enhancing quality of training at all levels of the education system and in all its segments. The aim of the research is to put forward the core systemic features of immersive learning, pre-requisites for its use, benefits and risks.

The research was performed in the framework of the actor-network principles coupled with the system-synergetic and integrative approaches relying on methods of the qualitative content analysis, comparative analytical method and elements of social engineering.

The novelty and theoretical contribution are reflected in the identified systemic characteristics of immersive learning and its relevance for the system of education at all levels and in the proposed recommendations on the effective use of this technology to enhance education and training in the country. It has been proven that in order to implement immersive learning, a number of conditions must be met: educational organizations need a learning management system, as well as software that helps transform content into a standard course structure, which can then be transferred to several types of multimedia.

The practical use is conditioned by the proposed practice-oriented recommendations to introduce immersive learning at all levels of the education system.
