Abstract

The purpose of the article is to develop criteria for the personal and professional development of a teacher-musician based on axiological determinants. On the basis of value orientations, axiological determinants of personality are formulated, understood as personal and social constructs of consciousness that arise and exist in the process of ontogenetic development of a personality and his/ her interaction with society.

The analysis of professional and non-professional values of musical and pedagogical activity made it possible to put forward and formulate the following criteria: "Effective interest in the profession", "Assessment of oneself in the profession", "The ability to organize time", "Professional priorities of the individual", "Life priorities of a personality", and a number of specifying indicators.

The survey, firstly, showed the possibility of using the developed criteria to determine the level of personal and professional development of student musicians and, secondly, made it possible to note that the actualization of the axiological determinants of professional activity contributes to the formation of the personality of the future teacher-musician.
