Abstract

This work is a continuation of the author's classification of deception gestures in non-instrumental lie detection. An article about trans gestures was previously published in the Kazan Pedagogical Journal in 2022. This study analyzes trance pantomime in primates, children and adult respondents. The phylogenetic, ethological and ontogenetic aspects of trance states in humans and primates are revealed.

The authors conclude that altered states of consciousness are homologous in homo sapiens and primates.

Anthropoids and primates have a functional and neurobiological disposition to trance, which has a relaxation and stress-reducing effect. Using the observation method, the behavior of primates, children and adult respondents under stress response was analyzed. Markers of ASC and trance movements were differentiated in all groups. Pantomime in the examined persons manifested itself in a natural, regressive, displaced form unconsciously in response to a negative stimulus. The article may be of interest to medical psychologists, psychotherapists, polygraph examiners and law enforcement psychologists.
