CopyThe purpose of this article is to prove the existence of continuity of Russian culture, the preservation of steady traditions and their influence on modern life in various spheres. The article possesses an interdisciplinary character, sociological, cultural and economic approaches to research are implemented. Also the method of secondary data analysis is used. Continuity and its influence on modernity is proved by the examples of Westernism and Slavophilism in the context of economics today, as well as gender behavior in the field of gender relations. In addition, the article presents the results of a number of sociological surveys that reflect the preservation of traditional gender views regarding women's employment.
The novelty of the research lies in the analysis of the influence of cultural traditions on modernity. This is relevant from the stand point of their consideration when making managerial decisions at different levels, as well as for the education of young people, for use in pedagogical practice. Knowledge and understanding of the key values and identity of Russian culture, its steady traditions open up opportunities for young people to self-knowledge and self-identification as citizens of Russia.
