Abstract

The relevance of the study is due to the fact that Russia's exit from the unified educational area of Europe in the context of the Bologna process has intensified discussions in the Russian pedagogical community about the prospects for the development and modernization of the national higher education system. Of decisive importance in the revision of the higher education model, created within the framework of the Bologna requirements, is the synthesis of all the best that has been created over the past decades, as well as the achievements of the Soviet education system. In this regard, it seems important to continue international scientific and educational cooperation with universities of friendly countries and to intensify research on the best foreign educational practices in the new geopolitical environment. The purpose of the article is to determine the promising directions (trends) for the study of the accumulated world experience and new trends in the reform of higher education, to identify the adaptation educational potential that is inherent in them and which can serve as a guide and resource for the transformation of Russian higher education in new conditions. The main research methods were analysis, synthesis, grouping, comparative pedagogical analysis, and an integrated approach.

The study analyzed open data posted on the websites of Russian and foreign universities, analytical agencies, and educational portals of European universities – the partners of the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology and Social Problems in international consortia of joint projects within the framework of the “ERASMUS +” Programme, implemented in 2017 – April 2022. The results of the study are the most promising, according to the author, directions for studying international educational experience, in particular, the best educational practices of Russia's traditional partners in international cooperation (China, Vietnam, countries that are not aligned with the Bologna process), which contributes to a comprehensive vision of the strategy for the development of the Russian higher school in the context of the exit from the "Bologna process. The article is intended for university teachers, research scientists, the Russian expert community, which is engaged in development of recommendations for improving the competitiveness of national education and strategies for reforming higher education in the changed geopolitical conditions.
